This was a good read, I found a bit of the very detailed communist infighting to be a bit confusing because I have very little context which did make the book feel a little like one of those books that would have been better read closer to when it was published as it would have made more sense probably.
Very good writing and worth a read particularly if you are going to visit any of the three cities
