Very easy book to get into. There's a real sympathy for the main character who is quite sarcastic and humorous.

The deeper and deeper I read, the more and more I feel drawn to Queenie. She is such a sympathetic character that one can not help but be drawn to her. Putting this book in the YA section, however, as my library did, is a mistake.

Although this is not my typical genre, I can understand why people take a sincere interest in this story. I'm really starting to feel the main character's emotions, even briefly not remembering her name because I feel like I am her. Now that's good writing.

Not much has happened since the last update. My feelings for this book still remain neutral. It was interesting to find out though that Queenie is afraid of flying.

Usually I do not enjoy narration that goes back-and-forth between the present and the past but it works really well for this story.
Plus, a reader cannot help but care about both of the main characters: Queenie and Maddie. Their friendship is starting to develop and it's really cute.
