I am really enjoying where this book is going. There has been a major change because in the first half of the book, it is just explaining the main character's life and how it was at the start of the war. A good part of the book is when Louie spends countless days adrift at sea and you really get to know and understand his character better. Now is when the real survival starts.

A lot has happened since my last update. Louie has been transferred through many different POW camps, facing many hardships along the way. He was beaten every day, but never let his anger inside show itself. I think Louie is a true role model and has many great qualities that you can see even the worst of times. The way the author writes makes you feel like you are there with Louie in the camps. You're his friend.

I am really enjoying this book so far. There never seems to be a dull moment because of all the action and suspense. One of my most favorite quotes so far is when one of Louie's friends said," only the laundry knew I was scared." I like this because it shows that there can still be comedy in a serious book. I predict there will be more battling and war.
