During the beginning of part III, the author Wes is jumping out of a plane. Personally, I didn't think that the author Wes would make it this far. As I'm reading this book I'm able to see the growth of the author. I loved how the author used concrete detail. " Our sweat-stained uniforms, still dusty from the endless push-ups."

I feel very terrible for the guard that was on duty for the jewelry store. The guard wasn't supposed to be on duty but he was being nice to his friend. If I was the guard in the situation I would have stand down because you know 4 vs 1 you're going to lose. It felt weird reading this chapter because the mom barely watches tv and the day she watches TV her sons come up wanted for the police. It would hard to take it.

Even with his GED Wes was struggling. I didn't feel bad but something was wrong because of the amount of effort he showed but he wasn't able to get the perfect job. It was obvious that Wes had to renter the drug game. Even Wes felt bad for himself, he tried his best but nothing really worked out for him. It was amazing to see how Wes remembered every little step. This shows that he is smart but he's using it on drugs.

he was joking but he wasn't. Everything looked great for him until he went to pick up his package. While was reading this chapter I thought Wes is now thinking about the bigger picture. As soon as he picked his package up everything went south for him. I thought with all the training he had he would refuse but the old Wes kick came back. I felt really bad for him because Wes really wanted to leave the drug game.

The other Wes Moore decided to attend a place call Job Corps Center. Wes learned about this place from his good friend Levy. Levy used to be in the drug game but he chose to leave. Wes thought it was time to stop dealing with drugs. He did awesome in Job Corps Center. He was able to get his GED ( general educational development) in a month. In woodshop, Wes built a house for his daughter. First everyone thought

One thing that I have noticed from this memoir, during the beginning of every chapter it goes back to Wes and the author Wes talking. One reason why the author is doing this is show why they're talking about there past. It was obvious that the author Wes's mother was going to send Wes to military school. When she first told Wes he didn't believe her.

The author Wes Moore gets arrested in this chapter. It was really stupid about how he on how he got arrested. I first thought that the author Wes wouldn't take it seriously but he did. One thing that made me mad was that the other kid Shea wasn't. I think that this moment really made him think on the choices he's going make in the future. The officer that talked to Wes really had good words to say.

Wes saw this kid with cool a headset and he didn't know what they were for. After a couple days he knew what they were meant for. Tony was the first person to find out that Wes became a drug dealer. I was surprised at how much effort Tony put in Wes not getting in the game. If I became Tony I would have just given Wes one warning on not joining the game. I thought the mom knew what it was sad on how she figured out.

So far this book is really fun. It was quite confusing in the beginning but as I kept reading it all made sense. I was really surprised that the author got to the point right away. I thought that he would have some cliffhangers but he went right to the point. I really loved that he gets to the point. This book is going to be really fun for me.

The middle of chapter 1 Wes was running around trying to catch Nikki. Then when he caught Wes punched her. This meant a lot to Joy because of her previous life. She first married person called Bill, Bill used drugs and is an alcoholic. One day Bill came home and hold Joy to do the dishes and she refused. Bill then suddenly got mad and began to beat her up. This is why Joy told Wes that you don't lay a finger a girl.
