The deeper I get into this family's story, the more thankful I am that I don't have my own children. People that try to make their children into who they wish they would have been should not have children. I would have been like that--and that is not fair. It is imperative that children are allowed to find who they are and love who they are and be supported by their families, not put into a box they can't escape.
