He is surprisingly not homophobic which that much at least is good.

Stanford's view of suicide is super problematic

This chapter on who and how someone becomes a healer seems a little unnecessary to me.

I really dislike the author's use of the word primitive to describe native believe and mythology.

After starting the pilgrimage of healing, Stanton says the next steps are taking accountability for everything in your life and beginning to put things right. It seems like the next step is spending time alone with yourself and what he called the ''unconscious self".

"Faith has nothing to do with blindly believing in things that cannot be intellectually demonstrated. It is not a sacrificium intellectus, but a motion of the soul that moves us in the direction of greater life."

Now the author is talking about paying attention to dreams when you're troubled or sick, which is an interesting point.

I like that this chapter focuses on the many archetypes of mythological healers. Chiron, Asklepius, Jesus. I'm assuming more the more I read.
