Starting to make more sense now. I had no idea there were so many atrocities in the Korean War. Also, Ron Paul taught me that Eistenhower campaigned in 1952 to end the conflict, but I didn't know his options "on the table" included nuking North Korean (or even Chinese) cities.

So...this was supposed to be a book about civilian casualties of American wars. The first few chapters were definitely about that, but now its just a history of the Chinese Civil War and U.S. containment policies. I'm learning a ton, but the author's lost the main thread. As another reviewer mentioned, there are better historical accounts of 20th century war and foreign policy.
