A good way to get to know LA. I always do mind maps of the characters and places as I'm reading each book in the series. A little formulaic but then you get to know the characters quirks and idiosyncraices and just enjoy them in the same way as Victorian readers no doubt enjoyed Sherlock Holmes mysteries.
