Yes -- melancholy is a large part.

D/E, J/B and the Bennets are involved in a year of crop failures.
Georgiana sails with her husband and ends in a voyage to China.

I am finding the D/E stories more compelling than the Georgiana story. I began this a while ago, got waylaid by Christmas tales, etc.
I am determined it will be my first book of 2019, melancholy or not!

Somehow I am also more drawn to any D/E story. This one is so very sad! Lady C. - what can I say?
