THIS is what I love about this series. One minute there's an incredibly sexy scene, then an emotional or heartbreaking one, but always humor pops up to even the tone. It's like the difference between being with just a sexy guy and a sexy guy that can make you laugh - give me option two every time.

It's fun to review an awful book. I did one for the Sweet Valley High series recently. Not sure if you guys read that across the pond, but it was huge in America in the late 80s-90s. If your daughter reads YA, there is so much good stuff out there, right? I still love YA.

Random, but I also love regional words. For example, my brother-in-law is from Boston. It kills me when he says someone is "wicked smaht." And my Californian friends all say "hella" as in something is hella good. I've totally appropriated both of those. I love Madness! I bought the new album and it's great. I mainly needed blues and jazz for that one scene. Normally listening to music when I write is very distracting.
Oh, no, I feel so bad for Zane. So it's actually in Divide and Conquer? I thought it was in the next book. :(

Oh, I love poetry. Ariel is one of my favorite books ever, and I like Anne Sexton, Emily Dickinson, and Billy Collins. My two favorite poems are "Richard Cory" by Edwin Arlington Robinson (the only poem I still have memorized) and "Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost (which I should memorize it's so short.)

One friend challenged me to read a book of her choosing and vice versa. That was fun, although I'm not quite done with my book yet.

Its ok I checked they are out the same day USA and UK phew!!! But I am complaining to the publishers as the USA get a better, yummier book cover than the UK!! WHAT'S ALL THAT ABOUT. I may just have to pick myself up a hard copy when I come to New York on holiday next September

I thought the city would be ugly and harsh, but I was completely charmed when I visited. It's so full of life 24/7.I really liked in Divide and Conquer how the writers give different views of Ty and Zane - the way the press sees them, their co-workers, exes, friends,...waiters. The way Zane describes Ty is the best though. Ty sounds so hot. :)
