Times were tough in the 1850’s West of Texas, in old Mexico. Real fucking tough. Brutal. And I loved every second of it.
I am fascinated by the concept of manifest destiny and the drive of families to move West in the young American nation, braving hostile natives, disease, unforgiving terrain and climate, just to start a new life.
