The first 100 pages contain 3 books of Jewish scripture and 6 books of Gnostic scripture. They’re intriguing reads. Learning of the multiple Jewish & Christian denominations, the different variations of the same underlining creation story, is eye opening. I have a new appreciation of Gnosticism.

Fascinating. 2 Enoch contains some wonderful lines of poetry, “I wrote the roads taken by thunder and lightening...I wrote the resting place of the winds.” The Haggadah contains a much fuller, detailed account of the creation story than Genesis, featuring phoenixes, leviathans, and the fact that every land creature has a sea creature counterpart “except the weasel.”
