Looks like I completely forgot to post my update yesterday. I actually made it to 471 yesterday and 490 this morning.

The first bit I read today was slow but then it picked up. I just wish Barnes were a more consistent writer.

Even after a government takeover was thwarted, there's still more going on. Two major events happened in the last few pages: one of them was expected while the other wasn't. I'm starting to think I will be getting the next book in the series though I still haven't officially decided yet.

I'm still not sure whether or not I'll bother with the next book in the series. I'm leaning towards it but I haven't decided yet. While there are parts that intrigue me, there are other moments that drag, and I still don't care about any of the characters.

I enjoy it but I doubt I'll pick up the next one in the series. There's just too much technical jargon and I still don't have any emotional connection to any of the characters. Barnes changes scenes way too much to become invested in what anyone is going through.

I enjoy it but it could be a LOT better. Barnes doesn't really do a good job getting you invested in the characters' lives (much like Grisham) but the story is mostly interesting. Unfortunately there's a lot of technical jargon that's distracting and takes me out of the plot.

Pretty interesting. I just wish Barnes didn't do so much jumping around and would instead focus on Heather, Zach, Jason, and that camera man.

When I'm not getting lost between all the jumping around and the technical jargon, I'm enjoying D51 thus far. A couple of the characters are annoying but it's not too frustrating. I just wish I could keep track of Heather's co-worker; they all blend in in my head.
