Seeing Foley say that Backlund is a big part of his career is ridiculously heartwarming

The beginning of the end

Up until now, it was mostly him just talking about some of his matches but so far, I now know he debuted in wrestling entirely in my hometown of Baton Rouge, got hotboxed by Dusty and the Briscoes, witnessed the rise of Snuka, got resented by Billy G (the guy he beat to get the title in the first place), beat up Stan Hansen and due to politics, worked a dark match against Ric Flair.
