A.J. Torres
A.J. Torres is finished
I finished the book, and I like it. I still feel like it is a bit too fast paced for and jumping ahead from scene to scene to scene can get pretty jarring, but I would still recommend this book to a middle grade reader wanting to try young adult for the first time. I'll post my review soon.

Sadly it did take over half of the book for me to feel interested and wanting to care what is going on. Also for something I thought could ease middle grade readers into reading young adult books . . . This book got really dark in these past couple of chapters I read lol 😈

IDK about you guys but I think this book is a tad too fast paced for me. One min the MC is training and the next she is already in her cot talking about solving a riddle. It's like this book does nothing but montages with the narrator quickly explaining what happened. It's a bit jarring.

So far this is a very simple and cute read, but there is a version of a trope I'm not a fan of and a character I literally can't stand right now lol, but I would recommend this still 😊

So far this is a cute and fairly simple read, I say fairly simple because I caught quite a bit of British terms and words that threw me off for a bit lmao 🤣
