I'm not sure what you mean by "the story got ahead of itself", but if I described Bleak House by describing the plot, I would not be able to convey what this novel really is. Everything important takes place in the lingering.

I really enjoyed it, and it made me think about how we are all connected.

Agreed. This is going to be some kind of fun to discuss!
