So far, I'd define Selby's brand of theology Spiritual Masterbatology. What the book boils down to so far is- disregard whatever does not "feel good" about Jesus teaching and embrace all that feels otherwise. His entire relationship to Jesus' teachings is based upon nothing more than personal intuition.
