Just discovered it. Monumental in scope and erudition. Christian theology as the hidden, deformed and denied origins of Western and political theories.

A difficult reading, but a fundamental one for whoever is interested in the history of ideas in politics and sociology in connection with Christian theology. It does the hard work (theory) which is just being touched up by Frederic Lenoir's Les Métamorphoses de Dieu. The two books are mutually complementary.
