Chapters 1 to 3 were slightly repetitive in stating that talent and inherent ability mattered less than perseverance.

Chapter 4 was strange in that it asks whether being persevering was itself an inherent ability or talent. (As it turns out, it isn't.)

Grit is now divided into four main stages: interest, practice, purpose and hope. I suspect this is the real meat of the book. Looks promising wrt real life scenarios
