This book is definitely NOT what I assumed it was from the title. I was under the impression that this was going to be another "lay people don't know anything" pop. science books, but it isn't that AT ALL!
So far this book has touched on Alice Dreger's work in the intersex community and her research within that field. I'm loving it so far!

Okay, so it's gotten much better! I think she just took too much time on Dr. Bailey before getting to the rest of the book... I'm enjoying her introspection on rape research and look forward to where she is taking the discussion next.

The book started off strong, but has since degraded into a "he said, she said" anecdotal word vomit. Hopefully this is just a weird middle period and the book picks back up again. The book's title needs a change. I am on Ch.4 and it's still about controversy stemming from Dr. Bailey's pop. science book "The Man Who Would Be Queen". Here's to hoping the book picks back up again soon!
