The book is still entertaining but like...is this over yet? It feels like it's seriously dragging.

And so it all comes together, shame about the flabby middle, this has been an otherwise great book.

Okay, the battle with the demon was pretty epic but it only really feels like we're leaving the exposition and I'm more than half way through the book by this point. This book isn't ruined by it, but it could be improved with better pacing.

Although a lot has happened in the last fifty or so pages, it still feels like I'm largely in exposition territory. I mean I'm like half way through the book now, can the actual plot like...start? You've set up your questions now provide the answers.

Although my reading has slowed, this book is still just as entertaining.

I've just finished the scene with Toot, who is another spectacle of how great a writer Jim Butcher is - I had to nip into sainsbury's just as a dude with a sword appeared, can't wait to keep reading!

I often struggle to find someone who can tap into my sense of humour but Jim Butcher really seems to get me, this book is as out loud hilarious as it is awesome.
