Part III, especially Chapter 13, Where the Train Tracks Meet, was exquisitely beautiful, showing the combination of non-Euclidean geometry, Shannon information theorem, Hamming error-correction codes and Bayesian inference, all wielded against playing the asymmetries of risk in poorly designed lotteries.

At times, it has felt like the mental equivalent of jogging up a hill, and it has been delightful.
