The point of view affects the way we see the characters because it lets us see stuff they don't see and feel superior of them in a way. In my story it gives the reader an inside look at jacks life and issues that you wouldn't get from his perspective.

A word or phrase that impacted the story is plain and simply the word jail. This word is so deep and meaningful in the story. Jail isn't just a place, but a way of life. Being in jail can change anyone into anything and that's how it effects the story.

The theme of the book is that doing wrong gets you in trouble. Some examples from the story are when he is put in jail for drug smuggling and when he didn't have enough money so he had to smuggle drugs to pay

the antagonist is himself. he is in conflict with himself the whole time because he lacks money and he does bad things to himself and others to get it. this effects the story by creating more suspense. an example of this creation of suspense is when he decides to sail the boat of drugs.

Suspense is an author's way of keeping the readers' attention. The author uses suspense to make you want to read more into the story. One example of suspense from the story is in the beginning he says that Jack was in jail. This creates a feeling of desire to find out why he was in jail and what will happen to him in the future.
