Right now, Yanek Gruener has woke up to a new world. He has woken up seeing no guard in sight. The Nazis have been defeated! I would change it so that when the Jews woke up, they would be on a truck heading towards the US. Then when they reach the US, they’d be surprised by the US soldiers with a huge feast.

Currently, Yanok is in his cabin sleeping. Then, out of no where, he hears a loud bang. My favorite character in the book is Yanok because he is very confident that he’ll survive. For example, he was the only one out of his family to survive past most of the concentration camps.

Currently, Yanik is on a train heading towards the 4th concentration camp. The most important word on the book is scared. This is because all of the people at the concentration camps feel this way. It is significant because it shows how people felt when they were put in concentration camps.

Currently, Yanek and his uncle are talking about the war and what is to come. They are always tellling each other that they’ll be fine but in reality they're not. The genre of this book is historical fiction. It is an example of historical fiction because it has fictional characters and a historical setting.
