As you read you become emersed and attach emotions to the fight against racism in the book. You learn that racism does exist particularly with white people. Evena dirty and homeless white person might actually believe he or she is better than a black person. And yet, there are white people who will see that every one is the same. Every one is a human being and must be treated as such. Children are wonderful brings.
