I'll admit, a lot of this story's lost on me. In retrospect, I should have read Volumes 1-3 in a row because I've forgotten a good deal of required information. I wish this run was collected in an omnibus instead.

Yesterday, after I declined to review a guy's romance novella, he issued me an ultimatum: review it and save "this planet, the humanity and all the lifeforms" from dying, or betray mankind by "spend[ing] all of your life by reviewing comics." I replied, "I think I'm fine just reading and reviewing comics." Apologies if I doomed us all.

(1) I'm doggedly crawling my way to the end of Morrison's 2006-2013 DC tenure. I've read every book but Final Crisis.
(2) Wasn't much story in the last volume. Just a lot of setting up villains, explicating lore and defining vulnerabilities. Hopefully this one has more meat.
