Not very good. This author has no curiosity or interest in anything the sailors do. He won't sleep in the bunks, he doesn't like to eat anything, he doesn't like the ocean or technical aspects of the crew's work. The majority of the time he is complaining to the officers and whining to the reader. Why did he even bother with this book? Stopped reading halfway thru.
