Gypsy Madden > Status Update

Definitely Lord of the Rings. Meredith would be Frodo, Him would be loyal but skeptical Sam, and Gorigast their new guide is Gollum (even talks like him) and the Wald is very reminiscent of entering Mordor.

Current section reminds me of visiting the elves in Lord of the Rings complete with the gifts before parting. Story really gets hung up in detail (food & clothes) and imagery.

Rip off of Labyrinth. Right now the only real difference seems to be the creatures the girl meets along the way. I’m hoping it eventually forges it’s own way especially concerning the girl and the goblin king since he really deserves more than to be just a menacing lecherous villain.
