The major conflict in my book is the small amount of time they have to reach Kauf and break Darin out while avoiding the martial hunting Elias. Keenan and Izzi add a strain on Elias' plan because that is two more people than just him and Laia to hide and protect through their journey to Kauf prison. Another conflict is Elias' battle with the poison that is in his blood that makes it hard to do a lot of stuff.

This is the second book of the series, and I recommend it. The books are written to draw you in and has a very interesting and unique plot. They are written from 3 different people's perspective, which makes it more intriguing so you can see their different views. This book is a really good book if you like intense parts and having a bigger goal they are working towards.
