Currently, I am reading about how the Winter Conclave is nearing and how Faraday is actually still alive. I have also learned about how Scythe Faraday and Curie had feelings for each other. But that was a while ago. I am really liking this book with all it's twists and turns. I feel like if I read the next book in the series, it will be good, but I don't know if it will be as good as the first one. But I will wait.

Scythe is a really interesting book. I keep repetitively feeling for the characters as they learn lessons about killing and how they feel when they kill. It is a dark topic to think about with myself but I do wonder what it would be like for these characters sometimes. Flatly for the fact that I would be training under master killers to be one myself. Also, I would have to kill the person I had feelings for if I won.

Currently I am reading about how C and R are both learning different from their now different mentors after Scythe Faraday's death. Also I have learned about the Scythe Conclave. One of the things that happened is that Citra and Rowan were put into a competition early on. Only one will get the ring and the other will lead safe life. But, other scythes didn't like this and now who ever wins, must glean the other.

I am currently reading about how Citra and Rowan are beginning to have feelings for each other even though they aren't supposed to. This could end up being really bad because the laws for being a Scythe are somewhat easy to follow because there are only 7. One says that a Scythe may not have a spouse. And with these two fighting over the same ring, and starting to have feelings for each other could be really bad.

I am currently just starting to read about Citra and Rowan's apprenticeship with Scythe Faraday. It is definitely interesting to see the authors idea of a time placed a good 20 years in the future, and his idea of what life would be like. For example conquering death.
