Hmmm... to start I liked the first few pages. It laid the plot and subplot rather quickly.
Dragging on now. Mel is very racist, even though she realizes it and attempts to stamp it out. Too quickly.
UF characters with children are in a small majority. I'm really disappointed that the writer is not exploiting that.
