Just FUCKING tell her you broke up with Agnes. What is wrong with you?!?!!

These two are SO dumb.

Why is she so upset? Why is she twisting this whole situation?

This book suffers from some unnecessary 'misunderstandings.'

Still, he would continue to pursue things with Agnes, because he had no choice.

She appreciated how he treated her. She found his way much less stressful than Reuben's hovering, take-charge methods.

Peter had understood what she needed and taken care of it for her. She felt something soften inside her.

Reuben's attention made her feel special. He was a handsome man with a gentle and teasing nature.

"Ja, she is." But then he always felt that Meg could be a nice girl, too, if she wanted to be.

Agnes was easy to talk with, and her obvious delight in the world was refreshing. She was the complete opposite of Meg, in looks as well as temperament.

Something jolted in Peter's chest, but he didn't refute her statement. It didn't matter that it was he and not Reuben who had rescued her.
