and the last one is a dnf because i just don't feel like it

"the inferno & the butterfly" got my hopes up but i feel like it would've been a better novel than a short story. this seems to be a pattern with this anthology huh

the idea of "three witches" would make a great novel, but a short story just made it shallow and confusing and not enough.

"the Emend of the world as we know it" was simply not good and there's nothing else to say about it.

"Walking After Midnight" was simply a sweet story with nice atmosphere. nothing to complain about, but that's about it, really.

"the secret life of a teenage boy" is, like almost every other story in this book, meh. not enough. meh. okay. fine. it's. there. just there. exists with a historical decoration (which had so much potential and got me super excited when i saw the year 1969, but turned out to be a disappointing wasted opportunity). it could've been any other year for all i care. why would you even. i don't know, man. idk.

i've been stuck on 'the girl with the blue lantern' for weeks and i think it's time to let it go and admit that, unfortunately, i will have no words for it because i kept trying to be interested, but i simply wasn't. moving on!

"Willows" was pretty but pretty confusing

okay i see what you did here, "Every Shade of Red". too good to be true. too good for this collection. too perfect. my fav

"The Coven". there are witches there, i guess. and two girls kissing in the end. i mean. that's not really all you need for a story. but ok.
