So far in the book Violet, and Augustus have left the gruop because they didn't listen to Mr. Wonka. Augustus fell into the chocolate river, got sucked up by a tube, and Violet ate unfinished gym and turned into a big fat blueberry.

Charlie is the only one left out of all of the people who gt excepted to go into the factory. Mr.Willy Wonka tells Charlie about how his grandfather used to work for him, and all of the good things he did. He told the story of why the factory had closed down.
