Spoiler Alert: New Conflict: So the Hubbermans are housing a Jew. Max Vanderburg is his name and he lives in their basement. During this time Jews were put into concentration camps and later killed for being themselves. If you were to be caught housing a Jew during this time you would be basically killed. Okay back to the Hubbermans. Since Max lived in their basement he didn't get enough sun. Sunburnt Sis not.

I would recommend this book. I say this because it's a very good book if you want to know what life was like through a Jew and German's eyes during the Holocaust. I have learned quite a lot in this book and it makes me happy!

The main literary device in this book is Foreshadowing. A big part in Liesel's life is her thinking back to the incident of the train to her foster home. Liesel's brother died on the train from a cough and she can't let go of it. Almost every night she is awaken from nightmares of her seeing her dead brother lay there lifeless on the train.

SPOILER: The main character is Liesel Meminger. Liesel is a ten year old girl who is in foster care because her mother couldn't take care of her anymore. Liesel has a brother, but he died on the way to the foster home, and she is sad about that. Liesel is the book thief and steals books, that's because the book is called that. Liesel is very obidient, quiet (sometimes), and caring.

There are many conflicts that have come up. Leisel also had testing at school for reading and they had to stand up in front of the class and read. A huge conflict between Ludwig Schmeikl and her. He made fun of her because she couldn't read well and she beat the crap out of him. She kicked him in his boy parts. She also beat up another boy for laughing at her while she was beating Ludwig up. The tea is hot.

I am very pleased with this book so far. I have read this book before but wanted to read it again. A lot of tea spilled for here we go. Leisel arrived at the Hubbermans home in Molching, Germany. I have noticed that Liesel's foster mother, Rosa Hubberman, is a lot like me. I say this because she rules with an iron fist, and is very defensive when people make me mad. I'd like to know why Rosa is so bitter toward FrauH

The book is set in the late 1930's and early 40's when Hitler was in power. Leisel Memminger is the main character in this book and she is put into foster care because her mom couldn't take care of her. On the train to Munich Germany, Liesel's brother died from a cough and they had to bury him before Leisel was on her way to her new home. When Frau Heinrich and Leisel got to the foster home, Leisel was not having it.
