After the initial novella (also titled "Map of Dreams", each section consists of a tiny story, a very short story, a long story, then another very short story. So far, the tiny stories are weird and ambiguous, the very short stories don't do much for me, but the long stories are INCREDIBLE. I discovered this book because Sofia Samatar called "Cold Fires" a perfect short story, and she's definitely not wrong.
