Wtf! I'm kind disappointed. Without giving away any spoilers, this is a let down, to do what the author did. I mean I'm almost at the end of the final book in the trilogy and there is just no satisfaction to the buildup of 3 books. + whatever never turns the story took in latter part of this book. This is on its way to being a dud of an ending, as far as the story goes. Let's see.

The chapter names in this series are great. Ominous start to each chapter, especially as things are starting to move towards an ending.

That boss fight was a bloody mess.

Wohohooo! That was not how I pictured Ferro and Glokta meeting. Seems fitting now though.

Nooo waaaaaayyy! Now it is clear why Bayaz picked Luthar, he was always the odd one out among Logen, Ferro and Longfoot. Hoo boy!

He's getting played like a fiddle. When will be learn humility. I can't help but think he's going to end up being framed into some huge conspiracy, shit.

So often in life, moments that are long anticipated turn out to be profound disappointments.
