Elizabetta Do it. It is a rite of passage. And enough hand-holding ensues by the indoctrinated to help you through the hotter passages :)

❂ Endless "It is a rite of passage."
hehehe...Lol! Is that right?

And you're too kind to offer the hand-holding but I fear that might not be enough if what I've heard about it is true... to quote someone...uhhh..i think it was HC - "It's worse than BloodRaven" - That was more than enough to keep me away :-\

Nichole (DirrtyH) I would like to be the lone voice of dissension here. I read the first book and did not love it. I did not continue reading the series. It's very lonely here and you are invited to join me if you choose.

Ah, sorry DH and Endless! It's all good. I can see how it could not be for everyone. Being the sole non-adorer in the Ty/Zane series, I can totally sympathize. Been there :)

❂ Endless Oh good! I found someone who can sail with me in my boat :D. But, in all fairness I've not read any of the Special Forces books...so...maybe we're not in the same boat - I can't say i like or dislike something without first reading it...!

@Elizabetta - I've been down this lane before with a couple of other books. While i didn't like One Real Thing by Anah Crow my friends ended up giving it rave reviews.. *shrugs*

Ami No worries, E. I tried the 1st book when it was still free. Couldn't pass chapter 1. Decided not to bother. I also cannot finish the first book of Cut & Run, and always become a spectator when everyone is gushing over Ty & Zane.

I guess I definitely never experience the rite of passage on M/M, even if I started reading this genre 4 years ago *shrugs*

Elizabetta Hi Ami! Yeah, we discussed C&R last summer, right? Do you like other stuff by Voinov?

Ami Elizabetta wrote: "Hi Ami! Yeah, we discussed C&R last summer, right? Do you like other stuff by Voinov?"

Voinov's writing is not something I can connect with. I tried some of his titles and never really got into it. Which is sad, since he's a nice guy and all. I did read "Transit" and "Skybound" and liked those. But that's it.

Elizabetta Yeah, sometimes we just don't click with an author, and there are more than a couple authors I run hot and cold on -- some books are great, others I don't like at all.

I liked Skybound but haven't read Transit yet, still getting round to the older stuff.

Ami, you're my soulmate!

I never got into Ty and Zane either, guys. Maybe we should start a support group.

You mean like an opposition group for the "Ty & Zane is like crack group"? XD

LOL! yes, though you know I'm gonna try the 2nd book which I already own. Give it another go 'cause maybe I was just in a bad mood when I read the first one.

❂ Endless Ami, I'm glad i can find someone who's in the same boat as me :D.

@Elizabetta - I've read and enjoyed other works by Aleks. It's just that Special Forces doesn't seem like my cuppa ;P

Nichole (DirrtyH) Ami wrote: "You mean like an opposition group for the "Ty & Zane is like crack group"? XD "?

Something like that! An unofficial "I don't necessarily have anything against Ty and Zane, but would they quit dominating my GR feed already?!" kind of group where we pat each other on the back and say "I feel your pain." I feel the same way about Special Forces. I didn't hate it by any means, I just don't understand the frenzy.

@Elizabetta - I actually might still try the second C&R book, too, lol.

Books 2&3 were the best. Then it was all downhill. I liked the guys in Cut & Run but I didn't think the book was good or that the plot made any sense. The next two were a lot better.

From you status updates, I could figure that out. Still, since I DNF book #1, and I don't really care about them, I'm not going to try book 2&3. I feel like I have other books I favor and willing to spend my time for.

Good plan Ami!

I suspect there are a lot of people not on the Ty/Zane love express. They just don't want to be run over by the mob so they keep quiet. ;)
