Suspense is when the author gets you exited about what might happen. The author of my book uses suspense when they are in the oracles tomb and hear the person calling to see who's there and they might get caught.

this book is about a girl who was the princess but then realizes shes a fake princess who was there to keep the real princess from harm, when she turns 16 she has to leave the palace so the true princess can go, but the new princess may not be the real one either...

fore shadowing is when the author gives hints as too what might happen. An example of foreshadowing in this book is when you can kind of tell Sinda has magic. first they say no one of royal blood has magic then she finds out she has no royal blood. Also she always was very interested in magic.
