I like this book so far, but I think that Patina has too much responsibility for a kid her age.

I am enjoying this book so far. It's interesting to learn more about Patina. I feel like Patina has a lot of responsibilities for somebody so young. In fact, I'm not sure what age Patina is supposed to be. She has to take care of her sister, her mother, and she's always worried about being the best at everything. She puts a lot of pressure on herself.
