Its not that difficult to learn What a clip is vs a mag, this should be basic knowledge for a sci fi / military author.
You can google it or watch a YouTube video. This blatant small but significant ignorance by the author is annoying.

PS : Rich restucci makes fun of this in length in the zombie theories books. Reccomended.
