I love Jo Goodman's westerns, which this is not, but the idea of two people who learned to survive without their parents intrigued me. I can tell this is an early Goodman, and that it definitely has that "bodice ripper" flare so popular in the 80s/90s, but it's mild and not offensive. So glad I picked it to read for our TBR challenge of historical this month. It's fun and keeps me reading for what will happen next.
