I've read through this book cover to cover, but don't feel I can actually say I've read it until I try some of the exercises. Usually I'm not a fan of books that tell you how to paint specific landscapes, but for the purposes of practice I think copying some of the paintings would be valuable. Also, I mostly like Cranshaw's paintings, which is not the case for most of the how-to painting books I've seen.
