I adore Elend but he needs to be more forceful as a king. He's improved a lot so far but he has a ways to go before he's a great leader. But I love seeing him develop so realistically , it's excellent writing. His character is the most interesting to read in this book, in my opinion.

OH MY GOD I FIGURED IT OUT! You're not supposed to give up the power. For some reason giving up the power of the well is bad the better option is to take it for yourself. Thats why Kwaan thought it better to let Rashek have the power rather than Alendi. He knew Alendi would give it up and that couldn't happen! I need to hurry up and finish this
