The problem with Batman is you can't just read Batman, all the Bat-Family books are connected. Right now I want to read Batman Vol. 3: Death of the Family, but I can't unless I only want the bare bones story. Suicide Squad Vol. 3 has tie-in issues, which I'd rather not read months later and lose context to. So that's why I'm reading Vol. 2 first.

In addition to preferring fat Amanda Waller to this slim and sexy version, I dislike her being portrayed like a human being, with sympathy. She's supposed to be avatar of the cold, implacable, unfeeling bureaucracy. I don't need to know that she's a loving wife or has a drinking problem. I want "The Wall" back. Also, the cross-over wasn't so bad.

One of my pet peeves is when an unpopular comic crosses over with a popular one to rub shoulders in attempts to embiggen it. Usually the books have little in common. They do it here with Resurrection Man which I didn't know was a thing. I already went through this once this year when Teen Titans crossed-over with Legion Lost.
