So far, the book is a mix; with the parts I enjoy vastly outweighing the bad (but admittedly, I'm not sure that the "bad" is what it seems). It's extremely well written, and fairly well paced. PKD does an excellent job of giving characters a unique voice. There is a certain sense of hopelessness (not quite the right word) in the novels I've read by PKD ("Do Androids,..." and this). I hope the end contains a glimmer.
