I should find the angst annoying, but I don't because I know painfully well how the main character feels. Despite this, I really do not like the thought of where the novel might go AND I do not like how the main character is stringing along her girlfriend. This may sound harsh, but when your heart belongs to someone else I don't think it is fair to get involved with someone who has no idea your heart's not in it :(
