This has been an interesting read so far. The first part is very very slow and I feel like a large part of it could have been cut down, condensed or summarized. Like the first part was a complete drag. But now that we are getting into the actual plot of the book things are beginning to actually excite me!

So the conflict so far is that the priest/monk fellow (Konstantin) is trying to exorcise away the small spirits/old gods that the people of this village still worship, but our MC (Vasya) is aware that they are necessary (to some degree, I think it's mostly subconscious) and is continuing to pay tribute to them and now a horse is teaching her how to ride it bareback. Things are still moving slow.
