I have read other Friedman and he is definitely an acquired taste. As I work in technology (he quotes some of my IBM colleagues) a lot of this is not new news to me. However, his weaving together of trends into a “machine” that spans much of life as we live it today and will live it in the future is intriguing. I hope he ties it together!
