This book gets very very good ratings, though I suppose it is one of those books that if you make it through it's because you are into this sort of thing. I won't say it's bad, and I hear that it gets better, especially in the next two books, but geesh, I mean this book is a big downer. I have a hard time reading about needless violence, especially violence against women, and the people in this book are cruel and vicious, and humanity looks to be irredeemable. Still, I will trudge through and let you know if it gets better.
